- To confirm, change, or schedule a visit the patient requested.
- To answer a question the patient asked us to call about.
We do not buy phone lists. We do not call for advertising, political messages, or debt collection. A typical call sounds like this: “This is Penn Yan Eye Care returning your call about an appointment. Please call us at (315) 536-9941.”
How a patient agrees
A patient agrees to a callback by giving us a phone number and asking to be called. That happens when they call either office, leave a number with the front desk, or send an appointment request with a phone number. We call only that number, and only about that request, during office hours. The number that appears is an office number for Penn Yan Eye Care.
How to stop calls
Tell the caller you do not want another call, call (315) 536-9941 or (315) 539-9160, or email pyecoffice@gmail.com. We will stop calling that number about the request.
Phone numbers and privacy
A phone number given for a callback is used to return that patient’s call or to handle the appointment they requested. We do not sell phone numbers, and we do not share them with other companies for their marketing. The telephone company that connects the call processes the number only to place it. A voicemail says that Penn Yan Eye Care is returning the call. It does not include exam results or other health details.
